graduated from the Kraków Music Academy. While still a student she made her debut at the Kraków Opera, singing Queen of the Night in Mozart’s The Magic Flute under Kai Bumann. In 1997 she performed for the first time at the Lower Silesian Opera, Wrocław, singing Rosina in The Barber of Seville. In 1999 she became a soloist of the Kraków Opera.
In 2003 Edyta Piasecka made her debut at the Teatr Wielki Opera Narodowa in Warsaw as Contessa di Folleville in the Polish premiere of The Journey to Reims staged by Tomasz Konina and directed by Alberto Zedda. For this part she has received Andrzej Hiolski-Prize for the best debut of the year.
On the stage of Teatr Wielki Opera Narodowa in Warsaw she also created Zofia in Halka by St. Moniuszko staged by Maria Foltyn, Rosina in The Barbier of Sevilla by G. Rossini directed by Will Crutchfield, Violetta in La Traviata by G. Verdi staged by Mariusz Trelinski, Hanna in The Hounted Manor by St. Moniuszko staged by David Pountney and conducted by A. Yurkievich as well as Goplana by W. Zelenski.
Im March 2017 again in Teatr Wielki Opera Narodowa in Warsaw she performed the part of Fiorilla in Il Turcu in Italia by G. Rossini gaining the best critics of the press. Also in 2017 she participated in 50th Anniversary of Jitka Stokalska singing the part of Rosina in The Barbier of Sevilla by G. Rossini at Warsaw’s Chamber Opera.
She participated in Mastercourses of: Anna Reynolds at Bachkakademie, Anna Kawecka, Christian Elsner and Ryszard Karczykowski.
She received numerous prizes like the first prize at Professor Ryszard Karczykowski’s master class in 1997, a special prize for the best female singer and an invitation to participate in a series of concerts to promote Polish talent in Austria in 1998, a nomination for the Paszport Polityki Award in the classical music category 2004 and the Star of Vocal Arts Award at the 47th Jan Kiepura Festival in Krynica, Poland.
